Personal (Cars)

Ever since I was a little kid, I'v always been fasinated in cars. I used to have tons of posters on my walls of all different types of cars that I liked. Cars were always my favorite thing to talk and read about. Fast forward a few years later, my passion for cars has changed dramatically. I'v gone from just liking the looks of cars to actually knowing what's inside of the car. As time has passed, I have learned many new things about cars and how to fix certain parts. Don't get me wrong, I'm no mechanic, but I have enough knowledge to be able to fix some problems that occur.      Even though I got my drivers license when I was 16, I never actually got my first car till I was 18 and out of high school. Buying my first car was something that I had always dreamed about, I knew the color and car I wanted from the start, but I would soon realize that a $50,000 Dodge Charger 392(My Dream Car) would have to wait a few more years.      Hiya, for those who don't know me my name is Joseph Hansen. I am currently a Student at Farmingdale Sate College, my major is sports marketing. I chose this major due to my love for sports. Ever since I was little, I'v been involved in organized sports. Whether it be basketball, lacrosse, or my favorite, football, Sports have played a huge role in my life as it has made me the hard working person I am today. When I step onto a field/court, all memory becomes lost. Everything that I may have been thinking about before, disappears. After my senior year of high school at Division Ave, I was given the opportunity to continue my sports career in college. After numerous visits from college coaches, I decided to commit to Westfield State University in Massachusetts to continue my football career. After being hurt for ...

Class Reflection

During my time in English 102, I learned how to analyze and break down stories. It made me appreciate literature more, especially made me appreciate poetry and the subconscious thoughts that lie beneath the words. When I first enrolled into college, I was not the best with writing thesis sentences. I feel as if with each paper and assignment I am improving my writing capabilities. While although my thesis statements can be  sometimes vague, I improved my skills drastically .  One thing that I really enjoyed about this class was learning about the personal life of the author before we actually read their literature. I feel like that is an important aspect to look at because most writers write about what they are surrounded by and what they have to deal with. Overall, this class has taught me to be more open minded to literature, and to read beneath a story. I also learned to be on top of the assignments and to be very weary of the due dates, due to no late wor...
